I was never one to want to carve in to a tree, but this is a nice substitute!

This special ring is one of the first pieces I've entered for any show or publication in a long time. I'm really excited and hope that it gets in - the show will be at the SNAG conference in Savannah this year and then will travel around the country. How fun would that be?!

I've been wanting to do a piece on the casting process but have found it difficult to get photos of it! The last time I tried I messed up one of my casting b/c I was trying to set the self timer! So this one I could get and not mess anything up. I love melting metal - it makes casting so much fun! I'll be posting a couple more photos and writing a bit more in the weeks to come!
