This ring sort of morphed from one idea to another. When I was making it, I was thinking about pine needles, the texture I was thinking about didn't turn out, so I completely changed it. So unfortunately, I wasn't thinking of something that this looks like! It reminds me of coral, or octopus tentacles, or sea urchins.... or bubbles. something aquatic. What does it remind you of??

So funny, I was just on your flckr and saw it and instantly thought "Coral" I think you could call it Mermaid's Treasure....seems kind of fitting

To me, it looks like abstract honeycomb... or the bubbles that are left on the sand after the waves roll out. Good luck with a name!

i think that coral was the first thing that came to mind but wasn't sure since it wasn't what i had in mind while making it!!
laura - I though of abstract honeycomb too! but in making future ones, I don't know if that would be how they would turn out or not.
It reminds me of flakes...Layers of brittle ice flakes. Or Corn Flakes ;)...The prettiest kind of flakes though.
